Stretch ceilings 3D: photos, ideas, for the kitchen, reviews, for the nursery, installation

ceiling

Stretch ceilings are increasingly used in the repair and decoration of premises. These are reliable structures that are easy to assemble, and they serve for a long time. In addition to simple familiar ceilings, 3D stretch ceilings are gaining popularity. When creating them, the feature of stereoscopic vision of a person is used, due to which we see the world in three-dimensional. For this effect, multilayer canvases with a special pattern applied or multi-level structures are used.

Design features

In principle, there are no technological differences between conventional stretch ceilings and the 3D version. They even mount them in the same way - using a special profile and a decorative baguette, securing the canvas with a clip-on, glazing bead or harpoon method.

The harpoon method consists in the use of special harpoon hooks that pull the canvas. The clothespins method works in about the same way, only clothespins work instead of hooks. It is very convenient when dismantling. If the canvas is fastened with slats, then even a baguette is not required for decoration, the canvas is closely adjacent to the walls. This method is good for creating multi-level structures.

The only difference is in the drawing that is applied to the ceiling. It is performed with ink - solvent or ultraviolet, using large-format printers. After drying, the drawing does not crack, the colors retain their brightness.

The material of the canvas is selected based on preferences. The drawing can be applied:

  • on a matte film (the most durable option that does not reflect the sun and gives a clear image);
  • glossy film (glare may cause the image to become blurry);
  • satin film (grainy texture does not reflect objects in the room, does not glare, the drawing will be clear).
  • This film is produced in short rolls of 5 meters. If the room is large, then a polyester cloth is used.

    Installation of ceilings involves the creation of several levels, which increases the volume of the image. Use drywall or panels. No preparation or alignment required. The main thing is to accurately perform the joints, otherwise the canvases will sag and the effect will disappear. The ceiling height must be taken into account, because the tension structure "eats" part of the height by at least 4 cm. Therefore, stretch ceilings are recommended for rooms where ceilings are not lower than 280cm.

    Often 3D stretch ceilings are supplemented with a fan that slightly shakes the canvas, which causes the effect of the presence of wind or waves.

    This is especially beautiful if the drawing is chosen on the theme of natural landscapes - for example, a forest jungle or an underwater kingdom. In a children's room, this effect looks amazing with a drawing of a blooming summer meadow with butterflies and birds fluttering above it. Creative people may prefer shivering raindrops to simulate a window to a garden or overlooking an evening city.

    An even more interesting effect can be achieved with cleverly positioned LED lighting. There are options for creating a three-dimensional pattern precisely from glowing ribbons placed between two layers of film. The canvas scatters the light line, making it three-dimensional. We connect the flicker mode - and a river of light streamed on the ceiling or a futuristic fantasy comes to life.

    Endless choice

    A definite plus of 3D ceilings - they can be used to print any pictures that just appear in the imagination. Believe me, the impression will be colossal. A living room with clouds floating above or a bedroom with a shimmering night sky, a girl's room with butterflies or boyish dreams of a long sailing trip. Connoisseurs of the East can "launch" sakura branches or admire a piece of the sky above the bamboo forest. Supporters of city streets can be offered a drawing of "stone jungle", and animal lovers admire animals and birds with delight. The marine theme is very popular, from beach landscapes to underwater beauties, from cute clown fish to sharks and rays.

    But it will be especially lucky for fans of fantastic or abstract subjects. There are no restrictions at all. 3d ceilings fit into any interior. Thanks to them, you can visually change the geometry of space. Even in a small kitchen, such a ceiling will be appropriate. 3D stretch ceilings with a photo for the kitchen are selected in accordance with the general concept, with the condition - the smaller the kitchen, the smaller the ornament. Or one large object is printed. Looks good when the apron pattern organically "goes" to the ceiling. Or imitates a roof window.

    Since the canvas does not emit harmful substances, such ceilings can also be mounted in a children's room. They are not afraid of moisture, they are able to hold up to 1000 liters of water per square meter, which is important when flooding from neighbors from above.

    Unusual solutions

    In addition to multi-level structures and colorful 3d images, ceilings are also made using the perforation method. This method is very fond of supporters of minimalism - it allows you to combine the entire interior into a single whole just using graphic holes cut in the canvas.

    3D perforation of a stretch ceiling is achieved by tensioning two canvases, one painted, the other monochrome. Sometimes a backlight is installed between them, which enhances the effect.

    Many stencils. The perforation in the nursery looks very nice, forming mosaic panels or a cheerful ornament.

    For industrial or commercial premises, it is often decided to use 3D panels or structures on frames for decorating the ceiling. The effect is amazing, completely flipping the world. But this is the most expensive solution in execution, therefore, it is almost never used in apartments.

    The choice of the installer and the nuances of operation

    To make the ceiling a source of pride for the owners, craftsmen are carefully selected. This is the case when you should not chase cheapness. It is advisable to visit the office, see all certificates for materials. On the company's website, read the reviews carefully, look for them on independent reviews. A reliable company usually offers an online calculator and has an excellent consulting service.

    The stretch fabric is very unpretentious in maintenance, it can simply be washed periodically with a mild soapy solution. Do it more often in the kitchen. The paints will not flow, the drawing will not disappear. Such a ceiling is not afraid of temperature changes, so it will serve for a long time in the country, even if the house is uninhabited during the cold season.

    Precautions:

    • protect the ceiling from sharp objects, including radio-controlled flying models in nurseries;
    • be sure to consult an electrician who will calculate the permissible number of luminaires and recommend their type. The fact is that the film does not like too high temperatures, which is typical for most lamps. The ceiling will simply melt next to them, stretch out and completely lose its multidimensional effect.
    • A little imagination - and the room decorated with a 3D ceiling will become an object of admiration. Moreover, exclusive, reflecting the individuality of the owner.

      Add to this the installation at any time, even after the main finish, the ability to easily hide construction defects and unsightly communications, installation work with a minimum of waste.

      No wonder 3D ceilings are gaining popularity at a record pace.
